A beautiful Scarlet Mormon butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality 300gsm white textured card stock which includes both the scientific and common name of the insect below.
Scarlet Mormon has a wingspan reaching 12-14cm, It is found in the Philippines but has been recorded as a vagrant to southern Taiwan.
The males have large red patches on the ventral side (underside) of the wings. In contrast, the female has distinct red markings on both sides of the wings.
Frame: Available in black, white or grey. The frame can either be stood up or wall mounted using the invisible bracket.
Corner Decals: Vintage bronze metal corners which are nailed on by hand on all four corners.
Sizing: 20cm x 20cm (Aperture 17cm x 17cm)
